tofu names CKP its founding implementation partner in Malaysia

tofu has named CKP its founding implementation partner in Malaysia. tofu, the AI bookkeeping platform, won Asia Practice App of the Year at the Xero Global App Awards 2026. CKP (Chia, Ka & Partners PLT), a Xero Platinum Partner, won two Xero Asia Awards in 2025, including Partner of the Year for Malaysia. Together, they'll bring AI bookkeeping to more Malaysian businesses.

Plenty of Malaysian businesses still run their books on desktop software. Someone keys in every bill, receipt and bank line by hand. Most owners know there's a better way, and what holds them back is getting it set up by someone they trust.

That's the job CKP is taking on. Its team will lead implementation, training and first-line support for the businesses it brings onto tofu. Those businesses subscribe to tofu directly, and CKP charges for its own implementation and training. tofu learns each business's suppliers, accounts and tax codes. It reads invoices, receipts and bank statements and codes every line the way the business's accountant would. Then it publishes the entries into the business's accounting software, or exports a file to import where there's no direct link yet.

CKP knows the product from the inside. Since May 2026, it has processed more than 14,000 documents through tofu for more than 60 of its client companies.

The two firms will take the first clients live side by side, starting with groups of companies CKP already looks after. Along the way, they'll build onboarding playbooks for Xero, AutoCount and SQL Account, so businesses can start on tofu without changing their accounting software.

Businesses that come through CKP can start on a Starter plan built for Malaysian SMEs. For RM199 a month, it covers 400 invoices, receipts or bank statement pages a month across up to two companies, with unlimited users.

"Two Xero award winners side by side makes a good photo," said Saman Herath, CEO of tofu. "But the reason we're doing this is simpler. To stop keying in every bill by hand, a business needs two things: AI that works on its books, and a local team it already trusts to take it live. Together, we have both. CKP has already shown what good looks like with its own clients, and it will set the bar for every partner who comes after."
